We strive to have innovative designs, this is made clear through products like our Oversized Firing Pin Stop, our Hard Sear, and our Mainspring Housing / Magwell Combo. In the past our designs have been closely imitated, some have even been duplicated. This is the first time one of our parts has been patented, and for good reason. The design for our Ambi Safety dovetail sleeve was so unique and innovative, yet so simple, we wanted to make sure our intellectual property was not imitated or duplicated.

A love of guns runs in my family. My grandparents were NRA instructors, and my dad was an avid gun collector. I started tinkering with rifles early on, curious how they worked. In my early 20’s, I took a 2-year correspondence course on gunsmithing, and completed it in 5 months. Soon after, I went to a local gunsmith to ask them some questions about the bluing process, and 2 hours later walked out with a job. Five years later, I decided it was time to open my own shop, and was fortunate enough to be in a position to create Evolution Gun Works.
